We all are familiar with online scammers who run away with your money. Have you ever been cheated by any online scammer? Online scammers are of many types. They may be online shops, job providers or even some romantic scams. I would like tell something about some romantic scams.

It is a funny thing to know about romantic scams over the internet. All romantic scams are girls. At the first time, you will get an email saying that she is interested in having a relationship with you. You will be wondering to see the interest she has on you. Suppose that a person do not know anything about online scammers. He will reply that he too is interested to talk with her. In the second mail, she will say a story about her! The theme of the story will be like this.
“I am living in a Refugee camp in Dakar Senegal due to a civilian war. My father was a rich person and he died in the war itself. I have $3.5 million in my bank and I have been looking for a foreign partner. I want to transfer this money to your bank account. You can take half of it. After I leave from this refugee camp, you can send some money to me for the traveling expenses. Rev.Father Emmanuel is my guardian right now and you can speak to him to know more about me. I will send you the bank details where I deposited money. I am attaching my picture and I would like to see yours also.”
This is just an example of that kind of mails. Then there will be a picture (claming that it is her), email id and telephone number (claiming that it is Rev.Father’s). Idiots will believe this story and they will go on with mailing. If mail to the Reverend, you will get an email saying that he is ready to transfer the money. But he will ask for a postage fee! Here is the twist. To transfer millions of dollars to your account, you will have to pay the postage fee. So the reverend will give you the details to pay him. It will be his own address or bank details. Once you sent the postage fee, there will not be any emails or contacts from them! They wills simply run away with your money. Quite funny and idiots will lose a big amount. This is just an example of romance scams.
There are plenty of other online scammers. Don’t take risks to spend money for a person you are not familiar with. Are you wondering how they get your email id? There are a lot of public forums, social networking sites which allows you to post contact information. Fellow scammers will find these email ids and they will start their funny business! It is your duty not to make your contact email id visible to any public forums or social networking sites. Also don’t run in to cheats like this.
